Installing and configuring OBS for internet radio broadcasting
Introduction
OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is a popular program for video broadcasts. However, there are cases when it is necessary to transmit an audio stream via radio in parallel with the video broadcast. In this case, the combination of OBS and MyRadio24 becomes the ideal solution.
Step 1: Install OBS
1. Download the OBS version from the official website that matches your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux).
2. Follow the installation instructions for your operating system.
Step 2: Setting up OBS for audio broadcasting
1. Launch OBS and click " File " / " Settings " / " Output ".
2. Switch " Output Mode " from " Simple " to " Advanced"
3. Go to the " Recording " tab.
4. Open the " Type " drop-down menu and select " Custom Output (FFmpeg) ".
5. In the " FFmpeg Output Type" field, select " Output to URL "
6. Go to the MyRadio24 radio control panel in the " Information " tab and copy the address from the second line of the " Broadcasting audio via OBS " item icecast://demo:PASSWORD@live.myradio24.com:9000/demo_live
7. Insert the URL path into the OBS item " File patch or URL ". Instead of PASSWORD, insert your broadcast password. If you forgot your broadcast password, you can change it in the MyRadio24 radio control panel, section " Users ".
8. In the " Container Format " field, select mp3 .
9. In the " Audio Bitrate " field, set the broadcast quality of your radio.
10. Click Apply and OK .
That's it! You're all set. All that's left to do is click " Start Recording " and your audio stream will be transferred from OBS to the MyRadio24 server.
