Setting up the Mixxx program for music broadcasting

1. Installation

You can download Mixxx for Windows, macOS and Linux from the official website absolutely free of charge.

Download and run the installation file. Click "Next" and install the program.

2. Setting up Mixxx

After logging in, the program will ask you to specify the folder with your music.

Go to the menu Actions → Options or press Ctrl+P (Fig. 1).

In the settings menu, select the Live Broadcast tab.

Fill in the data to connect to the MyRadio24.com server (Fig. 2), you can view your data in the radio control panel, "Information" tab:

• Type: Icecast 2
• Host: live.myradio24.com
• Port: 9000
• Connection: specify your mount (mount point from the control panel)
• Login: source
• Password: your unique password for LIVE broadcasting (If you forgot it, you can change it in the "users" section)
• Encoding: MP3, Stereo
• Bitrate: select the one that matches the settings in the MyRadio24.com control panel

In the Broadcast Information field, you can specify the name of your radio station.

Apply the settings and click OK .

3. Start broadcasting

In the main Mixxx window, click the ON AIR icon. If the broadcast has started, the button will turn green.
