Covers of files, artists, albums and tracks on radio

We have several types of covers available for tracks played on air. Covers are stored in 2 formats 300x300 and 600x600 jpg with a compression quality of 80-90%. The ability to work with cover databases is available only for PRO tariffs.

1. Covers of artists - this is the very first database into which covers were automatically added for a long time from other services and search engines. PRO tariff holders can jointly make their changes to this database by uploading more current covers. We already have covers for all popular artists.

2. Album covers - you can upload covers together into this cover database by linking them to the album name. Since the metadata very often does not contain the album name or contains unreliable data, it is currently impossible to use this database .

3. Track covers - you can upload covers together into this cover database by linking them to tracks by name. At the moment, this database is gaining great popularity, since for each track you can download a suitable cover by the name of the track.

4. Covers from files - this is a new database of INDIVIDUAL covers starting from 02/08/24. When you download a media file, the cover art is saved from the file's metadata individually for your radio. If you open the file information, the cover will also be automatically saved to your files. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to obtain cover art from old media files recoded to a different bitrate. When viewing information about a file, you can see all available covers for this file from all databases. By default, these covers do not air. You need to manually click on the button in the Own section to link them to the name of the track on air.

5. Your personal covers - cover data is stored in your radio account and can only be used for this radio. WE RECOMMEND using your personal covers only if the covers from the general database do not suit you at all . It is important to understand that if the radio is deleted for non-payment, then all your personal covers will be permanently deleted. You can upload your covers by checking the box next to the Upload button in Artists and Tracks. In addition, covers from Files are also uploaded as their own. A list of all your covers can be found in the Own section.

Priority for cover selection on air

By default, artist covers are used for on-air tracks. Go to Settings -> PRO Pack to configure the inclusion of covers. You can only use artist or track artwork. Or use track covers and artists. If there is no track cover, the artist's cover will be used. If you have uploaded your personal cover for an artist or track, it will be used with priority. If you disable covers, the cover of your radio station or the standard cover from the service with a note sign will be used.

Rules for downloading and using covers

If you have a PRO plan, you can download and view all covers from all available databases.
The following download rules apply to all users:
- when the cover is uploaded to the common database, it will become available to all stations
- covers of other users cannot be deleted, but can be replaced with a more suitable option
- covers for adults are prohibited: 18+ or covers depicting violence and harm to humans
- covers inappropriate for the artist/album/track are prohibited
- the size must be at least 600x600 (we store 300x300 and 600x600)
- it is recommended to upload square covers, otherwise they will be automatically cropped

If you violate these rules, you will be permanently denied access to the cover section!
